What one group giveth...?
Is there a reason the Launcher and almost anything that has to access
a lot of databases has become dramatically slower?
I installed OS 3.5 on my V and reinstalled my MIDI files and omnisky
maps (about 500 databases total) and the launcher became so slow I
thought it had crashed. It didn't, but then going into beam/del/info
was equally slow.
I think the slowness propogated to anything that had to list databases
(e.g. insider and flashpro).
Unless something else was interfering (I tried with hackmaster
disabled too though), I found it to be unusable because of this.
