I did something once that worked pretty well. I had a check for
KeyGen software that was installed on the palm. When my app ran it
looked for the KeyGen ID and would occasionally pop up some waring
that was not obviously related to the KeyGen software. I had a few,
unregistered, people ask me why my s/w did this. The popup would
never show, if the person was registered.
