You're right: version 6.0.1.0 had been put in c:\Windows\System32. I moved it into c:\Program Files\Palmone, and put a copy in the PilotInstall directory as well. To no avail: neither PilotInstall nor USB debugging work with my T3 (for which I have a Palm Desktop CD, likely older than 4.1.4E.)
