I'm backing off the 1bpp to 2bpp copy problem for now (Read message:
Misaligned BitBlt), and set the display window to 1bpp also. So now it's
just a WinCopyRectangle from a 1bpp window (the offscreen window) to another
1bpp window (the screen window).
What happens occasionally on the device (OS 3.1 AND OS 3.5, and emulator
running 3.1 ROM) is that - nothing is displayed on the screen. This happens
nearly 60 % of the time, leading me to believe that some uninitialized
variable was causing this problem. But I didn't find any of those.
I know (looking at the list archives) that some other people also had
similar problems with WinCopyRectangle(). I'll be interested to know how
they resolved it.
