Let me second that.  At least the Visor has IrDA, but the main problem
with USB I find is that you need a "host" and that means a desktop, so
you can't use it as a "pendant" to set up a device or such.

Wireless (Mac Airport? Bluetooth?), or 10BaseT ethernet would be
better, or FireWire - anything that two palms could talk together on
without a PC or Mac having to be there.

Serial tends to be a least-common-denominator, but PCs have parallel
ports for faster access.

I just want something that doesn't require a desktop.
