hi,
I am working on transferring images from a remote server to the Palm
device in a wireless medium. I am not syncing my app. with any conduit.
My server is written in Java and Palm app must fetch images from
this remote server in a wireless medium.
My question are
1. In which format images will be transferred to the Palm device? As
TRsc format or pdb or PNG?
2. Do I need to do any compression and uncompression for the images
being tranferred? Or is it taken care by Palm device itself
3. Should I use any convertors on server side that convert an image
into PDB file or to PNG format?
4. If have to use convertors, how do I integrate them with the servlets
on Server? I came across certain convertors but some of them require
command line execution and some are menu-driven. How can I integrate
them with servlets?
Can anyone please guide me how to do the whole thing or atleast give
some clue.I checked in archive but didn't find any relevant discussion.
