So I need to fall back on the "no problems yet" part of my message. :-)

Actually the "internal-only utilities" I mentioned mostly run only on POSE
because they do various file manipulations via HostControl, so I guess
there's not much danger of colliding with many 3rd party apps, and no danger
of damaging much at all.  So my example is probably not useful.  Nobody said
I'm an "expert" at this.  :-)
