  palm owns the trademark 'palm' - and, if your application is pda
  specific, you'll be violating this trademark. palm trees do not
  voliate this trademark as it is a different business area. you
  might want to look up trademark issues a bit :)

  but, if you have a palmos program called "PalmProgram" - they 
  have to get on your case about it to protect their trademark
  and copyrights.

  just change the name? whats the big deal?
