Why? I'd write my backend software in such a way
it runs on a variety of web servers. I'd see
webservers as a platform just like the OS is a
platform. Fawaz isn't responsible for inherent
security and stability flaws in Windows (and as it
turns out, Microsoft isn't really liable either when
something goes wrong... go figure). So why should
Fawaz be responsible for security flaws in a web
server that the customer deploys in order to run
his web application? And what if Fawaz' customer
doesn't configure the firewall correctly? Or doesn't
bother to even have one? Or installs Kazaa? Or...

I can't imagine any.

Frankly, I don't think a server coded by Fawaz is
going to be more secure and reliable than, say,
Apache. Apache was designed and developed by a team
of people who (I think) knew what they were doing.
It's been in use for a long time by a lot of sites.
Fawaz, on the other hand, is coming to this forum
asking whether it's even possible to code something
like that server. That doesn't give me the confidence
that he has a lot of experience in this area (there
is nothing wrong with that... I haven't written a
webserver myself either, so I should modify that
first sentence of this paragraph to say "coded by
Fawaz or myself" ;-)).
