Hmmm... Something like this happened to me with the Sony Clie TJ35. This model claims to have the new sampled sound manager, and the sampled sound manager works just fine for output, but it just locks up when I try to ask if a sound input channel is available using SndStreamCreate(). Does this mean we we need another method to check for sound capability? (other than check for TT, Z21, TJx5, etc. ad infinitum...)
