Is PODS (Eclipse) is the only way for developing application in Version 6?

No. You can use existing versions of CodeWarrior, prc-tools, etc. to build a 68k application which can continue to run in 6.x just like it did in 5.x and 4.x.

David,
I've seen you make this comment a couple of times. I feel uncomfortable with the statement every time and (finally) thought I'd say something on it: It is true that _much_ work was done to allow 68k applications to work in OS6. I understand that many applications don't need to be aware of OS6, which is a truly remarkable achievement.

However,... There are MANY applications that stopped working with OS5 and had to be redone (or 'just' make special OS5 adjustments) in order to work with OS5 PDAs. There are many applications that will need similar (or more major) re-work in order to work with OS6.

Due to the security conscious 'sandbox' coding of the current release of OS6, the application I've spent the last 4 years working on is not even possible (the Keyboard driver for the PalmOne/Think Outside keyboards). The Driver can't 'inject' key codes into other application's queues. It can't 'press' the current application's buttons. It can't even scan the current application's Form to find out what buttons are present. What it is reduced to it a Memo type application that displays typed keys. This is no longer a viable Keyboard Driver. It does not matter if Driver is written in native or 68K code - That is not the problem this OS presents me.

I am impressed with the work that has been done to make 68K applications work in OS6, but I cringe when I see you making statements that are so all encompassing with regards to the backwards compatibility of OS6.
