"new patching mechanism"?? - Clearly I am not fully up to speed with the current capabilities. You won't hear from me on this until after I've become "currently current" (again <grin>).
Check the Palm OS Protein API documentation... specifically, the "Patch" chapter of System Management.pdf. :)
