well, what people forget is that it is ok for these big ESD's to 
offer discounts over the board - i believe handango offered a 25%
discount for any purchase over $25 and there was another coupon for 15%.

why not list your software at the same price - but, have a coupon
thats valid *always* so they can get it for 10% cheaper?

ESD:: $20.00
yoursite: $20.00 - 25%! = $15!!

deal! they can do coupons, why dont you? just put the coupon on the
sales form "remember, enter in this number". you would also be surprised
how many people dont enter in the code even if it is right in front of
them :)
