Doug, I agree with you.. but in your loop you can call TimGetSeconds and compare it with the last time it was in the loop and then you can only act on the events that take place every second or every 2 seconds.. you only need to make sure that you set the null events resolution to less than or equal to the number of seconds you want to act upon.
