Sounds like a weird idea. Why don't you just store the data you received
in your application, if you have to send it back?

It depends on what application accepted the JPEG file. Different programs
store JPEG files in different forms on the device. The Treo 600 Photos
application works differently from the PalmOne Photos app that's on the
Zire 72, which works differently from AcidImage or SplashPhoto.
In treo 600 the default Camera Application accepts the JPEG file.
How does it store the Jpeg image. Or you could let me know the storage
pattern
of any particular device's default photo application so that i can add it in
the list of supported devices.
