Zen for Palm is fine and dandy, however:
2) It is better for the user when multi-platform applications have exactly the same user interface on all supported platforms.
Only true when the user is expected to use the application on all of the platforms, instead of just one. It's questionable even then -- I can't stand using iTunes on Windows because it pulled over Mac OS UI conventions and doesn't fit in with the rest of the platform.
