I'd say that your feeling of discouragement certainly should be
honored. Maybe you are better off developing for another platform.
I am not an "evangelist". In fact, I tend to be very pragmatic.
I'm developing for Palm OS now because I'm sure it's the best
place for me, but I'm writing my code with portability in mind.
(In fact, almost all of my development is done on a Linux system!)
My reply to the original message was a response to the "Palm OS
is dying" attitude, which I think is simply a common bad attitude.
(Basically a "Chicken Little" kind of "The Sky is Falling" mass panicking,
which is stupid and nonsensical.) Although it's not the dominant platform
it used to be, reports of the death of Palm OS are at least premature.
