It's mentioned in the documentation for ebuild format repositories: http://paludis.pioto.org/configuration/erepository.html It shouldn't be on the main repositories page because it's a format specific key. We optimise where it matters -- for an example that makes sense, see the names cache, which makes paludis -q foo nearly instantaneous as opposed to taking a minute or more on cold disk cache.
