Is it? "fast enough" is very misleading. For some 1h might be "fast enough",
so it really depends on your personal point of view.

It also depends what do you call correct. In my example eix gave me instantly
an answer I was looking for (so I think I might call it correct from my query
point of view).

I use different tools for different tasks and don't like to be forced to use
something which from my personal experience isn't the best choice for the job.
If that would be the case we would all still use portage wouldn't we? Paludis
is my packet manager of choice because from my point of view it simply
superior. It's fast, flexible and most importantly does exactly what I expect
it to do. Same with eix.

Ok I think we've got it clear now.

At the end of the day someone will probably clone/fork paludis-extras repo
under different name, because it provides with hooks people are used to.
You might want to backlist it again and again and again. But isn't it easier
to give people the choice they want and make everyone happy? Please note I'm
not asking you to support any "third party" tools.

Thanks,
Rob
