This is the wood project I'm "gearing" up to do:
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm318/minimoa68/Finished3.jpg I've been in touch with the designer, I'm hoping it can even convert to paper. His blog on the project is here: http://brassgoggles.co.uk/bg-forum/index.php?topic=12103.0 And a video of the prototype: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BY5DPhSyFQ --- On Fri, 4/3/09, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Subject: [Papermodels II 35484] Re: All wood machine To: [email protected] Date: Friday, April 3, 2009, 9:39 AM Many, For him it could also be "because he can". Sure it keeps his mental acuity up! I had the same question until I realised it's a piece of art, plain and simple. The engineering is to be explored, experienced and appreciated in much the same way as lighting, brush strokes, form, etc. not sure I'd find a place for it even in my eclectic collection of "things". With this one, it's my turn to ask "why?". It's a marvel of engineering, but unless you appreciate cogs and gears and wood turning, it's not really my cup of tea.. now if it *made* a cup of tea..... :) But if someone gave one to me, I wouldn't knock it back. ;) Mandy ----- Original Message ----- From: "william perry" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, April 03, 2009 12:40 PM Subject: [Papermodels II 35479] All wood machine > > Next....a working Saturn V all wood.... > > http://www.wimp.com/strangemachine/ > > > > Lose weight like TV's Biggest Loser finalists.
