It would be kind of you to offer measurements for United States Modelers in US customary measurement and also in the young metric system. America has never used the Imperial system you refer to. The Imperial System was created about 130 years later at the end of the Revolutionary War. While a few european countries dabbled with decimal measurement about the same time that the Imperial system was being redeveloped, metric is a late bloomer. Most Americans still use real measurements rather than the "modern" metric system adpoted in 1960 by large parts of the world. Metric is mostly used here for communicating certain trade, scientifiic, and technical data which is proscribed by some other Nations if not transmitted in metrics.. Metric is not a very good system, whether a part is 9-1/8" or 231.774 mm you are working in fractions and 0.774mm is hard to find on a metric ruler. My normal american tools are marked to at least 1/32" as minimum specs for building both my home and models. I believe most paper modelers would be most comfortable and prefer customary measurements to the lesser metric partial millimeters. Wildman
