Try Smith and Company Penetrating Epoxy. Used to restore Victorian
Homes, mansions and wooden boats on the West Coast, it goes on after
printing and results in a "plasticized" totally waterproof model. I
have used it for years on R/C boats and card models. It has a
consistency between alcohol and water when mixed and coats each
cellulose cell. Used on the Hurst mansion and Capistrano Mission, it
was approved to treat dry rot and restore structural integrity. You
can even put treated boats in the hot water of treatment tubs and
pools at the hospital.
