Hi folks, I'm new to this group and somewhat new to paper modeling,
only a couple of years now. I followed this thread with some interest
and wanted to throw in my two cents worth. I have been using a Epson
R1800 printer which uses 9 color cartridges and gives me great color
on everything I do. I was a graphic designer (in a previous life -
retired) and true color was always important. With the paper models I
can print borderless up to 13 inches wide, and I have used cardstock
as heavy as 200 gm wt. It will print both sides but you have to
manually flip the paper. You can also print glossy with a protective
coating for lasting color. I have used many different printers over
the years and the Epson always seems to last longer and has also
survived a lightning strike on the house - one that wiped out
everything else. Hope that is of some help in this discussion.
