> PAC and DA, 4-6 July 2008, Fort Hare PAC Congress/Fiasco, have become
the newly found comrades-in-arms, post-1994. What is your take on that
one?

Locally, without any fear of contradicting myself, Helen Zille, the Mayor
of Cape Town once did a heroic thing that even the ANC government could
not do: to turn a sod in Langa in a spot where the African people were
butchered in 1960 Langa-Sharpeville Massacre, and an amount of more than
R500 000.00 was allocated to erect the statue of Sobukwe and the memorial
site of more than 27 fallen heroes and heroines. This coincided with
Qwaqwa Congress of 2006 which sounded a death knell to the PAC heritage.
The local sole PR PAC councillor and the then Secretary General dabbled on
the handling of the noble opportunity we would have been afforded by the
initiative of Cdes Dr Motsoko Pheko and Mthuthuzeli Mama, and the PAC lost
that opportunity once and for all.

I wonder how serious will the electorates respond to three splinter
groupings emanating from the post-1994 PAC congresses. Others are busy
building castles in the air about getting 20% vote in 2009 Elections, with
no scientific proof of how would they go about doing that. On the same
breath let me, personally commend Apa Pooe as having been relatively the
best mumbler, during the SABC 2 talkshow between the ANC, the APC and the
PAC. Those representatives really mumbled their way throughout the
session, and not even the ruling party could exert its authority in the
show.
