hi.  She chose the SB live because it's what she wanted,  I did bring 
up the Imic to her but the SB live external is what she chose.
Seems like from everything I'm seing, and the more posts I read, 
tthat it's purely a driver issue, nothing much to do with USB or 
anything, remember folks windows finds the card just fine, no 
problems. it shows up in device manager just fine. but the software 
from the cd looks like it needs to be installed so everything will 
work properly.
