I am not a big jaws user, though I own version nine. But didn't Jim
Snowbarger and others who write scripts use to charge somewhere around $25
or so for their scripts?
I could see paying 25 or $30. That makes sense to me, but paying as much as
I paid for Norton ghost 12, which is clearly a much more complex program
just seems wrong to me.
Still, if he can get $70 for his scripts, more power to him.
I have always been impressed with the guy. I just wish he'd rethink his
price structure.
Regarding itunes being free, I suppose that one could assume that that was
figured into the price of the Ipod, somehow, since you need itunes to even
use the thing.
But a 4gb ipod is only $100. That should make itunes pretty cheap if you
figure it as part of the package.
Still, it is a much more complicated program than is the JTunes script or
the 40 dollar antivirus program I use.

I have a fundamental problem with paying more for a script for a
program than the program itself, and in this case, the program itself
is free! I can understand, though, why the scripts are as pricy as
they are. It's not just one single script with a handful of
quick-and-dirty functions--not by a long shot--but paying more for the
script than most low-end MP3 players, well, I'd have to think about
that long and hard, and I hope T&T Consultancy might do the same.

Yes. 70 does seem a bit excessive. I could see 20 or maybe even 30, but in
my opinion, 30 is stretching it.
I haven't even paid $70 for a backup program like ghost or a virus program,
but 70 for a script seems high in my opinion.
For a full fledged program, perhaps, but not for a script.

Well, that's my point. Sure. Someones worked really hard to create this.
But
that's like saying hey there, man. Pay 70 dollars and I'll give you a
chocolate bar so I can eat- that is, in my view, too expensive when there
is
rockbox out there, more accessible itunes out there, etc. Then again that's
just me. I'd pay 20 dollars for them- but 70? No way.

Ow, that price, inclduing the ipod, seriously turns me off. I don't think
I'll be buying this. I mean, what's the difference between j-tunes and I
Tunes? I thought I tunes by itself was accessible.

Hi all,
Despite a bit of a roller-coaster ride at the last moment with the
iTunes 8.01 update, J-Tunes version 4.0 is now available to download.
Please read this message carefully as it contains important
information prior to download.
First, we must thank our beta testing team. If it was not for the
dedication and support from our beta testers this product just
wouldn't have happened. Considering iTunes 8 was released in
mid-September, and here we are in mid-October with a completely
rewritten and tested product is largely due to the hard work they have
put in.
Also thanks to the developer, Brian Hartgen who has worked day and
sometimes night to get this product to the stage that it is now. He
must be congratulated on a fantastic effort.
The User Guide is available on the website and I would encourage you
to read it as it is likely to answer all your questions. We have
expanded it to include all the new features of J-Tunes and have
included a whole new section on the use of the iPod Nano 4th
generation which is the latest iPod with talking menus
J-Tunes will function as a demo by default. However if you have
purchased J-Tunes version 3, you can upgrade free of charge. Please
read the section in the User Guide relating to how this is done. The
price for a full copy of J-Tunes in Australia is $75.00.
Literally as each day goes by, we learn more and more about iTunes. We
are collectively using more and more functions of iTunes to learn how
things work, and so there may be aspects of iTunes which are still
inaccessible. If so, please let us know, but we hope J-Tunes 4.0 goes
a long way to addressing them.
Finally, as with all software, there may be problems with any software
package combined with iTunes. However if a bug is conclusively found,
the only way to get it addressed for sure is to send it to me at
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
I will then take responsibility for sending your report onto our beta
testing team. we will try and rectify it in the next J-Tunes update.
But we hope that you will enjoy the J-Tunes experience in using JAWS
with iTunes as our many customers have done until this point.
So for that all important link. It is
