Hay guys. How about multi channel. Can you pan the different tracks into
different channals with Reaper? Or can it not do surround sound?

Using reaper be sure to use the rae pluggins.

Whether audacity or reaper is the better, I wouldn't comment.
either program has strong screen reader support.
I do like reaper though.
