Sunday, April 3Everyone arrived to some snow and a building, gusty north/northwest breeze today. Racing was delayed for a bit as the snow and visibility improved at around 10am. We were able to get in 2 B-division races and one A-division race today during down periods in the wind gusts. Winds ranged from 12-20 knots during the racing with a few higher gusts in the mid to high 20's that flipped about 6 boats during racing and another 4 after finishes. All in all, the racing was good, shifty, and puffy on W4 courses. Racing was called for the day at approximately 12:30pm as the wind gusts became more sustained. Shortly after everyone left it began to snow again and the wind increased even more. No protests or breakdowns were filed. A huge thanks to Peter Bailey (Brown '15) for judging, Justin Assad (Dartmouth Coach) for being the ICSA Rep and helping rescue capsized boats today, all of the Brown sailors for running races and rescuing (Riley Woodwell, Sophie Hibben, Davis Tantillo, Eric Xiao, and assistant coach Lydi Whiteford), and Photographer Rob Migliaccio for taking some great pics that will be posted on the NEISA Facebook soon. Congrats to the University of Rhode Island Rams for winning the 2016 Dellenbaugh Women's Trophy! Top 5Visit http://scores.collegesailing.org/s16/dellenbaugh-women/ for full results.
