Sunday, October 15What a difference a day makes! 8 races in each division were sailed today in a oscillating southerly breeze of 8-15 knots. The higher afternoon breeze forecast of 15-25 knots never materialized. Races were 22 min long with a nice but difficult chop. All courses were W4's. No protests or breakdowns were filed. There were a bunch of general recalls due to one particular school pushing the line early which dragged the rest of the fleet with them. The same school was also called over early multiple times with the individual recall flag. Lunch breaks were kept to 30min to try and get as much racing is as possible since Saturday was not ideal. Many thanks to Bern Noack for serving as the ICSA rep and to Conn College and Julie Wilson for bringing coach boats so all the coaches could be on the water. A big Congrats to the US Coast Guard Academy for winning the 2017 Fall Yale Women's Regatta. Top 5Visit http://scores.collegesailing.org/f17/yale-women/ for full results.
