yes the 7500 does have a boot rom all of the older macs do (on the news ones
it is stored in the ram. i dont know why, but that is what i gatherd from
the research that i did. limeted as it was.) now just because the computer
chimes when i turn it on does not meen that the boot rom that is solderd
onto the board is good. In My dealings as an electronics technition in the
navy i have come across chips that are fried but work partialy. The boot
rom is used until you are finished starting up. it does not do this. I have
put in known good hard drives with system software and nothing happens. I
apriciate your thoughts, I will still let you know what happens.
