Well it depends, my G3-400 will probably be the last CPU upgrade on the
8500.
I'm sure new cpu's might need different pinouts or voltages so that the ZIF
cant be used with them.

I think you will be seeing alot of changes on the new Macs as far as
processors go. And the Mac you can upgrade and use for 10 yrs is probably a
thing of the past IMO.
