I don't know anything about PC's, I think someone just told me that PC
modems connected to the parallel port. At any rate, all the PC modems I've
seen have the "D" connector you mentioned. And I don't think they need
drivers, unless you are referring to the init string that is needed for the
connection software.
Of course, things could be different on my side of the water. Actually, I'm
in Seattle so I'm virtually underwater all the time.
