I have a powermac 9600 with an xlr8 g3/400/200 1mb 50mhz bus, 256 mb ram. i
overclocked everywhere from 50mhz to 54mhz and it was medium stable. now, i
put it at 55mhz (around 440/220)and it is more stable than it ever was, and
it still runs around 40-41 degrees C. last night i upped it to 55.6 and had
nightmares all night.
does anyone know if there are warning signs for a motherboard frying? or
will the card start to run really hot, in the 50 degrees range, and then i
will know to clock it back? could there be other kinds of damage going on?
is it possible/advisable to install another fan inside?
thank you for your kind yet expedient advise
vora
