Free is good alright....
If you ask around you'll be given a LaserWriter IInt or LW IIntx. If I'd
accepted all I've been offered for free I'd be up to my neck in them.
Upgrading is a matter of pulling out the board and installing a better board
out of a IIg or IIf.
All excellent machines. Black and white 300 or 600 dpi.
There is no LW8 printer...LW8 is the more or less the generic Laser Writer
Chooser Extension that allows you to address all of the LWriters.
The ones to watch out for are the LW Pro 630 and the very similar but much
faster 16/1600...or something like that. They are the very best Apple small
office/home office laser printers around. Check on eBay to see the specs
because anyone who has one to sell will describe its abilities.
