I went through this decision-making process a year ago and decided on
the 7300 based on the recommendations of this List. Bought a 7300/180
on eBay, upgraded to a Sonnet G3/400, 248RAM, OS 8.6 and am very
satisfied with it. It's the most recent of the 7X00 series and, if I
remember right, has the larger power supply to handle faster
processors. But, I suspect the 7600 would work just fine. I don't
need the video capability.
