I purchased a 8500-150 Mac, upgraded it with the XLR8 processor put some
more ram in it, and it zips along lovely.
The 8500 has 3 slots for pci cards. I got a multi usb port pci card
which the
man said would fit all macs, even the 8500.
But it doesn", the smaller end of the metal strip is too big, and does
not allow the
card to be properly installed.
I can return the card, but which card fits into one of those 3 slots,
the 8500 has, and which slot should I use,or doesn't it matter.
Thanks for your help, perhaps directing me to a discount firm selling
Mac's stuff?
Bolca
PS there used to be a discussion group like this one, just for the apple
8500,are they still
around?
