Ah Jeff,

You sold it to Scott :-)

Yep, that is the safest way to go. It could be that the delivery/ postal guys
perhaps have handled the package to hardhanded.

Yes, I agree, but also in the PC the card wasn't flashable and didn't work as
the primary card.

Could be. The best Scott can do is disable the ATI drivers, no other video card
drivers loaded and only load the 3dfx drivers.
I once had it happen to me that the 3dfx drivers wouldn't load (red cross in
the extension), but that was because the firmware on the card wasn't the same
as the 3dfx drivers I was using. After flashing it with the right firmware all
was well again.

Also Scott if you have other PCI cards installed pull them all from your Mac
and if you have a built-in videocard connect the monitor to that card. If no
built-in videocard present, leave the PCI videocard and the Voodoo in, connect
the monitor to your regular video card, disable the drivers for your video card
and see if you can flash the Voodoo. You could also try downloading other
Voodoo drivers and try flashing the card with the flasher wihch comes with
those. Also I believe that @ clanmacgaming.com's site is another flasher you
can d/l, but I don't know what version that is.
