If worse comes to worse, do you have access to a heat gun (not paint
stripping, although, if one was careful, it will work), and you can try to
reflow the entire PCB.  People get scared of this for no reason, the specs
for most parts are up to 240C for 30 seconds.  What I do it put some liquid
flux on the board, and reflow it and then let it cool naturally, and if
there is a weak solder joint, or even a weak bond in a chip, this will
possibly fix it up.

Being I work in the surface mount electronics industry, this is not a
