It may, but chances are it won't. One thing you can do, is to find an 
old external SCSI case (like from an Apple CD150 or CD300) and put 
the CDRW in there. Then you can still boot from the internal, and 
burn on the external. (Easier to copy CDs with two drive also) You 
could do it the other way around too, putting the Yamaha internally, 
with an Apple ROMed drive externally to boot from.
