That's odd - the 8424 boots just fine in my PCPro in response to the four finger salute....I wonder if internal SCSI configuration has any effect...? I have two hard drives connected to Bus 1 (Adaptec 2930U), and the Yamaha CD-RW and a Syquest 200 connected to Bus 0 (motherboard internal SCSI).
