I bought OS 9.1 on eBay and didn't have a problem with it. Here is some info I found on OS 9.1
Hardware Requirements Mac OS 9.1 can be installed on any Macintosh that originally shipped with a PowerPC processor that has at least 32 megabytes of physical RAM and a minimum of 40 megabytes of logical RAM (virtual memory is set to 64 by default if there is less than 64 megabytes of physical RAM installed). Mac OS 9 1 has been tested and qualified by Apple to run on Apple PowerPC-based Mac OS computers. (Mac OS 9 is not tested or qualified by Apple for use on third party Mac OS-compatible computers.) Installation Mac OS 9.1 may be installed as an upgrade to Mac OS 7.5.5 and later versions of the Mac OS. The installer program requires Mac OS 8.5 or later to run, and it is recommended that users boot from the installation CD before performing an installation. More info at: http://www.macfixit.com/reports/macos9.1.shtml Mac OS 9.1 will run on any Mac capable of running Mac OS 8.5 through Mac OS 9.0.4. Mac OS 9.1 IS NOT compatible with Mac OS X Public Beta. ------------------------- > John Winslow wrote: > > > Os 9.1 won't install from cd. Is my processor not fast enough?
