I advise you to get an external CDRW burner, and keep the internal CD
for that rare time that it is needed to boot from.
When you do need to boot from the CD, it is very , very helpful to be
able to do so.
A cheep USB PCI card or Firewire card would enable you to get an
external firewire, or USB, CDRW. Because USB CDRW drives are slow (4X),
they are often priced under $100. An external scsi drive would be just fine.
