Have they fixed the ATA timing bug on ATA cards in PCI PowerMacs?

I flatly refuse to buy one unless someone tells me (obviously). All this 
free flowing talk about them leads me to believe they have fixed it but 
its it true, it was a major stopper when I owned a 7500. As my 7300 will 
take a back seat as a server in the next 6 months I need to know if I 
can fit a large hard disk or two to it so it can serve files and other 
crap to my new iMac.
