'Enable Auto Spin' jumper is on, therefore enabled as I understand it. It fits snug. No other jumpers on except id bit.
Any other ideas ? This is a 68-pin IBM Ultrastar 9gig, 7200 LVD/SE DPSS-309170. Have tried it in the middle of a working LVD chain that has termination on the end of the 68 pin LVD cable. Also tried it on onboard 50 pin chain in a 7600 with a 68->50 adapter (termination is ON for the other drive at the end of the chain), both with 'force SE mode' jumper on and then without that jumper. Also tried it in an external case with adapter and external active terminator--same negative result. I don't hear it spinning up, but software identifies it correctly.
