Steve:

Thanks for the information.  I did notice a couple of cold solder
connectors, but I have not attempted to repair them, as I still have a
healthy fear of the flyback transformer.  I know that some monitors, have
some type of circuit that quickly eliminates the charge.  Is this true of
this monitor?  If so I will remove the board and try to resolder it.
