I gotta 7500, & i've recently built a machine for a
small production company... I've ben doin editing for
years.. my suggestion: Jack the RAM through the roof..
pack in as much as you can get. Make some ramDisks for
the Editing program itself. Get a IDE controller card,
then drop in a few 60gb HD's... you'll need em.
upgrade the processor if you got the $$.. if your not
a real quality freak, I'd almost stick with a lower
end, or older editing software. it'll run slicker,
check out www.moviemac.com..
aside from that a firewire card, for external
storage, & interface to a digital camera would be nice
too.
   Nykto.
