Hi, I'm having a few problems trying to network my mac up to my pc.
basically i've got a windows workgroup "TWR" running on a 10 mbps hub. I've plugged a cable from a spare port on the hub and plugged in into the back of my mac (7500, 144mb, os 8.6) Next i tried setting up tcp/ip from the control panel (using ip 192.168.0.44, mask 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.0.1 (net connected pc)) however i could not ping the mac from my pc. I then tried installing dave, but it seems to freeze at the workgroup setting, i guess this mean it can't see the network? So any ideas? anything i may have missed installing in mac os, etc. Hope you can help me with this one!
