Drive mounting screws are often M3-0.5 in Macs and also in PCs.

All other fasteners in desktop Macs tend to be M3.5-0.6.

FWIW, early PowerBooks tend to use M3-0.5, while late PowerBooks tend to use 
M2.5-0.45 and M2-0.4.
