Cyber Detectives,

9500 on 8.6, lots of RAM
Can you help shed some light on this one?

I was putting togeather fancy letter to a friend in A/W 5;
went to my Apple Menu for something. . . . NO CONTEXTUAL MENUS
and yet Apple Menu Options CP is turned on?

Ah ha. . .My Time has jumped ahead 12 hours to 9:50 AM

Wait a minute, I'll check the extensions. . . .
The time Synchronizer (which I thought had to be on) reads:
"Lets you automatically update your computer's clock for daylight savings time
and synchronize your clock with a network server.

Turned off the Time Syncronizer extension
Trashed my system 7.6 Alarm Clock cause it wasn't working anyway;
 and even though I didn't re-boot I now have my contextual popups back.

So it seems that if you don't have "Set Daylight savings time automatically"
but the Time Syncronizer alive in Extensions it's trouble. . .
am I right?

Whenever I open Date and Time I now get the box that says that the Time
Syncronizer is turned off. Funny though, I thought I had to reboot to make
my Exten. Man. change take effect?

Any advice?

Thanks,
Tall T.
