My 2c I had probs with it back on 8.1 or 8.5 and dumped it. It may be that it is prone to clash with other 3rd party exts? - any way I didn�t try to find that out. I do have the divider in the time display set to flash though - and this gives some feedback as to a freeze or not. If it works for you keep it on but I would keep it on a list of suspects if you do start having problems. On the subject of activity feedback - I like OT Strip which shows when uploading and downloading is happenning. And Quit all which shows free memory in its Control Strip module.
